Fast service. Good food. I recommend the gyro (the feta spread gyro is a little too salty for my taste). Perfect for a Saturday lunch outside.

A solid gyro, but I've had better. The reviews are a bit generous. The meat is cut too thin, The gyro was falling apart, was decent size. Spicy feta didn't add much of a kick. It didn't stack up to greece.

Very good Gyro! Overstuffed and very reasonably priced. Definitely worth trying when you are in the mood for a greek fix

This is the best Greek restaurant in Palm Beach Gardens. The staff is friendly and the food is fresh. The portions are enough for 2.

My first time having Greek food ! Well it was spectacular ! I had the extra special chicken pita with there delicious cooked rice! The rice wasn't over cooked. The place was clean and quaint. I definitely recommend this place ! Amazing food !

Our go to place for a quick dinner. Great meal for kids with chicken skewers. Lamb gyro platter is if enough to feed two. The hummus is delicious. We call ahead and the food is always ready to go

Stopped in last night to grab a bite to eat. Very quaint, and very clean business. Ordered a Greek Salad (Pre-made and sitting in the cooler)with Gyro meat to go. It set me back $13.61!!! For a salad! Once I got to the hotel I opened the container and saw a VERY generous portion of Gyro meat and lots of Feta Cheese. There were also two stuffed grape leaves/Dolmathakia which only tasted like mint, didn't like them. As I ate into the salad I noticed that I only had one Pepperoncini pepper and two small kalamatta olives. At least 1/4 of the lettuce was the hard, bitter, white part of the lettuce. The salad dressing that came with it was in a plastic to go condiment cup and had about a teaspoon and a half of oil with some herbs in it. The extra condiment cup of Tzaziki sauce was charged also! Very disappointed at the quality of the Salad for the price that I paid. Would be different if it was extra fresh and had more of what makes a Greek salad a Greek salad. I will be spending quite a bit of time in the area for work, but will not be back here!

Very, very good gyros. I ordered the spicy feta and it came out wonderful. There was a good amount of feta and a great amount of meat. It also came with a side of tzatziki sauce that was flavorful. The price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Usually it would take me two gyros to get satisfied but at this place only one was needed. If you enjoy Mediterranean I would recommend this place to you. Next time I'm trying the hummus wrap and I'll be writing a review on that.

Well I hit the mother load on a whim today. I typed in pita because I was in the mood for either a pita or a wrap and this busy beauty popped up. Went in around 1pm to grab lunch today. I went chose the spicy feta gyro with chicken and greek salad as my side. ...OMG! It was delicious. Sadly I barely ate my side (not so side) salad because my gyro was over flowing with meat. The size of the pita was fantastic. Pita + side $10.50. Not bad and worth it in my opinion. The only downside was the gyro said spicy, but it wasn't in my book. They also put way to much of the feta spread on the gyro. Next time (yes there will be a next time), I'll ask for it on the side. Fast, courteous service especially since I was rushing to get back to work. But it's a must if you like greek food :)

My go-to spot for lunch in Palm Beach Gardens! Not only are the portions generous, but the quality and taste of the food is top notch. The souvlaki--which is my favorite item on the menu--is highly recommended. On a different note, I really appreciate the fact that this restaurant is locally owned and operated. The family in charge is very involved and they always work hard to please their customers.

Mmmmmm Great gyro. Pictured is the spicy feta and for $7; Can't go wrong. Not the cleanest place I've seen but real deal gyros, you can also get chicken but why??

Stopped on a trip to West Palm. Portion size is generous and food was great. Got the lamb gyro with Greek fries. Just the right amount of seasonings. Staff was friendly. This is a great place to stop for a quick bite to eat. They have 2 TVs for your viewing pleasure as well.

I'm giving this place 3.5 stars. We visited here regularly about 2 years ago and stopped going for no particular reason. We went back again a couple weeks ago when I had a craving for Greek food. It was good, but not as good as I remembered and I kinda left a little unsatisfied. I had a lamb gyro with Greek fries and boyfriend had chicken gyro with regular fries. Gyros were comically large and I hate to say this but - obnoxiously overfilled. I know it's insane to complain about too much food but it was ridiculous and just made it a huge pain in the ass to eat. It wasn't like that before. I remember being pleasantly impressed with my gyros size but it wasn't so big that I got frustrated eating it like I did this time. Overall decent food and huge portions, but nothing special.

On my way to Sarasota with my friend, we decided to make a stop for dinner and found this place. It's not often that we eat Greek, so we decided to give it a try. From the outside, it looked like a somewhat formal dining establishment, but it was actually Greek fast food, what they call "casual dining". The first thing I noticed was the cashier, a handsome blue-eyed male, was Greek, as he was speaking Greek. Seems pretty authentic, and when I remarked on this (not on his looks, obviously, but the fact he was speaking Greek), he jokingly said he wanted to add to the authenticity of the place. I placed my order for a Combo Platter, which is a beef & lamb gyro, chicken gyro & Greek sausage, a side of orzo and the Greek fries ($14.50), while my friend got a Gyro ($8.39). The gyro machine was authentic, like the kind they have in Greece, and the place smelled delicious. I was excited. We got our food in about 10 minutes or less, and I was shocked by the amount of food I was given! It certainly was enough to share with someone else, and I felt as if we got way too much food (it came useful though on one of the nights when we were too sandy to go out to dinner). We were also given pita bread, and tzatziki. The Greek sausage was delicious and flavorful, as was the beef and lamb gyro. I was not too keen on the chicken gyro, it just did not seem to have as much flavor, so I used the tzatziki for dipping the chicken, and adding flavor. The tzatziki seemed short on garlic, but other than that, it was nice and thick, the way it should be. The Greek fries were delicious, full of feta, yum! I was obviously unable to finish my meal, so I got a lid and took my food to go. As I was about to walk back to the table, the same handsome cashier offered me a free Greek salad. How awesome is that?? How often do you get free food given to you? The salad contained 2 stuffed grape leaves inside, kalamata olives, peppers, tomatoes, onions, Greek peppers and cucumber. It is valued at about $8, so that was pretty generous. Great, friendly service, quick, delicious food and large portions, count me in as a fan!

I am going to tell you a secret. Guess what the best thing on there menu is... Their Gyro... Shocker I know. Though seriously they really do have amazing gyros here that can be ordered multiple different ways, my personal favorite is with their spicy feta sauce. This is one of my favorite places to grab a quick lunch during the work day.

It was a pleasant surprise when we tasted the food at Mr. Gyro. It was tasty, hot, and well spiced. The Service was exceptional, professional, fast, and happy. This is my new favorite place!!!!!! Also a shoutout to the owner John for being a great host.

If your caving a Gyro or anything Mediterranean.... COME HERE !!!! The pitas are stuffed to the max with beautiful meat that is made right inside the small restaurant (how do I know this, because behind the counter there are HUGE slabs of meat roasting and the chefs are cutting the meat as soon as your order comes in!) The sides are another amazing add on and they are not stingy with how much you'll get! Huge Greek salad, delicious sweet potato frys & many others! If your on your lunch and only have 30min dont worry as soon as your order is placed you'll get your food very quickly!! Perfect LOCAL place to enjoy Mediterranean food!! I have gone here multiple times and 100% plan to return! :-)

When I walked into the restaurant with a large group on a road trip, I expected a normal every day Greek food experience. I have to say the quick, courteous service combined with the delicious food left me and my friends more than satisfied. All the food was outstanding, including the different spreads and side dishes. I had the chicken gyro. It was not only delicious, but an excellent choice for someone watching their weight, as it was very lean. We ended our meal with coffee. Some of us had traditional Greek coffee, prepared the traditional way and others had frape. Nobody was disappointed. We only wish we had room in our bellies for dessert since the display of desserts was very tempting. I'm sure we will be paying Mr. Gyros other visits when we're in town and definitely highly recommend this restaurant. Regards to "Mr. Gyro" from your Clearwater friends. Hope to see you again soon.

Yum. I often stop here when I'm famished after a hike. Service is fast and the gyro delicious, though sometimes barely lukewarm. Ideally it should be served piping hot. I love having the spicy green beans as a side - you can't get vegetables at most quick-serve eateries.

Had the falafel gyro. The yogurt sauce was great and the portion was huge. I wish they put the sauce right on the gyro, but that's because I am lazy :)

I was a little let down by this place a few nights ago, but to be fair, I ate there on a Friday night, less than an hour before they closed. All three of their gyro meat spinning ovens were empty and cleaned, and all they had to make "gyros" out of was chicken. It was tasty, but I think that had more to do with my hunger than the flavor of the chicken. I'll give them another shot some day soon, because I've eaten at their sister location in Stuart before, and enjoyed it immensely. This location seemed a little dirty, too, but again, it was the end of the night. There was also a lot of loud chatter going on between the guy running the place, his staff, and some "visitors" from neighboring shops in the plaza, just hanging out and chit chatting. I felt like they were waiting for me to leave.

  • Raj T.

The way I judge a Mediterranean place is if they can make great falafels, they can make great gyros. I've had both here - Huge portions! But extremely fresh and delicious food. The spices are perfect! If you want tasty Mediterranean food, this is the best place to get it.

  • Danny D.

I have a general rule about not eating sandwiches that are bigger than my mouth. I feel like the proportion of bread to meat is all out of whack and it really ruins it for me. The one exception to this rule is Mr. Gyros. The gyros at Mr. Gyros are literally overflowing with meat... tasty, tasty meat. I've had my fair share of gyros and I have to say that Mr. Gyros is probably the best I've ever had. What pushes it over the top? Their home made hot sauce. It has just the right amount of spice and vinegary zing to compliment the beef, lamb, and tzatziki sauce. The pitas are just the right texture with a perfect mix of softness and chewiness. The people that work there are friendly and they turn out orders super fast. If you're looking for a hearty but quick lunch, look no further than Mr. Gyros.

This place makes the biggest gyro I have ever seen. So yummy too. And they have a military discount making it even better.

This is my preferred location for Gyros around Northern Palm Beach County for three reasons: * Quick, casual dining at a good price * Real, Quality rotisserie Lamb (or) Chicken Gyros * Great portions And it's located in a convenient strip-mall that is easy to get in/out quickly. I think the only Con would be the dining area/decor, and the occasional issue with poor service, primarily due to the occasional part-time, apathetic cashiers. Overall I highly recommend for one of the best gyros around.

  • Blue A.

A bit disappointed, Coming in the place isn't too big, which is fine by me. I am a fan of the casual Greek dining options that have been popping up lately and after a quick browse on the Yelp app I came across Mr Gyros, which was fairly close the the PGA Resort where I was working an event. The cashier was nice enough and told us we would not be disappointed by the sweet potato fries. The wife got that, I got the "greek fries" with spices and feta cheese. We got 2 gyros as well - and sodas. The sodas were out of gas...and tasted flat. The gyros were massive...and good enough. The tzatziki came in a tiny cup (that was only half filled) and was at the bottom of my list as far as other tzatziki I have had. The fires were covered in WAY TOO MUCH feta cheese. I ended up scraping it off, and having the fries alone. On top of the food being less than stellar it was SUPER HOT inside. It is all open so it might of been the heat off the grill, but it was certainly not comfortable in there. Did I eat it? Yes, I was starving! Did I leave with the intentions of ever coming back? Unfortunatly not.

  • Chris M.

My first experience with gyros, and a great one. I got the lamb and beef gyro with the side of French fries and a drink. The gyro had fresh lettuce, tomato, onions wrapped together. Services was friendly and fast I will definitely be coming back for more.

Not sure why this place only has 3 1/2 stars. Hands down, a 4 star quick service restaurant. Food and service were really. Good. Prices a plus too. Next time we are in the area we will definitely be back.

  • D A.

I like Mr Gyros. Clean and fast, you get a lot of food that is quite tasty. Lemon chicken soup is very good. Love the spicy feta, and they give you enough pita unlike some other places. Horiatiki and dolmades with tzatziki on hot days are great. Chicken pitas are good too.

  • Melissa C.

The falafel was great ! Great prices and great food ! I will definitely be back soon.

  • Jessica T.

Really good gyro! I wouldn't necessarily call this place a Mediterranean Grill, because it implies a little bit more formality and a menu consisting of more than just the popular Greek dishes. This is a order and pick up at the counter restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. I had read traditional gyro, and it came as it should be. Meet overflowing the pita with good flavor. They give you an extra side of tzatziki sauce and the French fries I also got seemed hand cut and freshly fried. enjoyed the meal, couldnt finish it all. alot of people were placing TO GO orders. I recommend this place for a quick bite!

    (4)
  • Peter D.

I give 5 stars because the food was fantastic, the price very reasonable for that as well as the generous portions... And that it feels very authentic with the Greek staff arguing (and laughing) in Greek behind the counter as they work.

  • Sean C.

Does not live up to the hype. It's a reliable place to get decent gyros but it's not the end all be all it claims to be. The service is lacking with the cash register worker texting on his phone and they take their time getting your order out. The food itself is pretty good. The chicken is a little dry but they season it well. The rice is exceptionally bland. The interior is dated and doesn't look particularly clean. The seating outside is nice.

    (3)
  • Bob R.

What a great and convenient place! Quality and value for your money. The service and food was great. We had the gyros and we couldn't have been happier.

I always stop on the way back from Lauderdale. It is fresh and fulfills my gyro crave!!!! The humus is not good though: ( no Tahiti and lemon.. but I just go for the gyros anyway..

  • Janine L.

This is by far the worst Greek food I have ever been served. They don't even get the Greek salad right - unripe tomatoes, tiny pieces of feta, tasteless dressing, Hunks of uncut onions and peppers. I could not eat it. The pita served with it tasted stale, and not a hint of cucumber in the tatziki. My son's chicken kabob was dry and wasn't helped by the awful sauce. French fries and rice were barely mediocre. My husband had the gyro, tons of meat & little else. $36 lunch for 3 people. Awful.

    (1)
  • Mike T.

This place isn't fancy. You are served food on a tray and plastic plate. None of that matters because the Gyros are awesome. One of the best I've ever had. Half of the meat fell out and it was still overflowing with meat. It's well seasoned, with a good mix of lettuce, tomatoes, and sauce. I add feta cheese to mine. If you like Gyros, this is the place for you.

I was dying for some good Greek food and happened to pass this place. Looked nice so I stopped in and ordered pastitsio. I wanted it a la carte which apparently they don't do. Minus a point. I had high hopes for the food and was pretty let down. The best Greek restaurants I've been to use cinnamon in their pastitsio. This place must not. The flavor was lacking- very very bland. The noodles were soggy and it tasted more like a plain, sloppy lasagna than a well constructed dish. The bechamel sauce was alright, but I likely won't return here.

  • Phil A.

This is my first YELP review, but here goes. Does not look much from the outside, and the dining arrangements are sparse, with plastic-ware and simple seating. But the food is excellent! - certainly the best Gyro meat I have had in many years. Food is prepared quickly and is hot. Staff very friendly and a definite new place for the wife and I to eat - certainly for lunch, and a great stop when out shopping at the weekend.

  • Luis K.

Probably one of the best gyros that I had in a while. The gyro meat was juicy, and I was given plenty of their gyro sauce to go with my meal. Yummy!!!

I am absolutely shocked by all of the 4 or 5 star ratings that I have seen posted here. Either these are friends of the owner, or people do not know what decent Greek food is supposed to taste like. I stopped by this restaurant on my way home from Orlando w my wife and daughter. We were starving and excited to have some greek food. We ordered 1 chicken gyro, 1 order of Calamari and 1 falafel pita. Now keep in mind that I cook 6 days a week, and have been to Greece, as well as 40 other countries. I know food and what it is supposed to taste like!! I will start off w the good. The good was that the restaurant appeared clean(their bathrooms were very clean) and the food came out quickly. The mediocre was the chicken gyro. The chicken tasted alright and was juicy enough. The tzatziki was decent too. Now for the bad. Everything else! Seriously, the falafel was horrible and had a weird taste. They used some sort of spice that didn't belong. This was the theme for the rest of the food as well. They used a strange spice in the tahini, which is definitely not supposed to be there! I lived in Israel, so I know what decent falafel and tahini should taste like. The hummus was pasty and dry, and tasted horrible. The calamari was nice and crispy and had a nice cayenne kick to it. Unfortunately, they added this strange spice to it once again that killed the taste for me. The dipping sauce for the calamari, the same thing w this weird spice that they added. I am not sure why they are going so heavy on this spice, maybe they got a discount and want to use it, but it ruined the majority of their dishes. The funny thing is, some of these dishes would have been good if they did not add this spice(I am sorry I do not know what it was, but it tasted like it was in the cinnamon family, although not cinnamon). The hummus was not salvageable! All in all, this place could be much better if they followed some of the more traditional recipes, and did not try to do their own take on them. The people running the place seem nice enough, so I hope that they get this memo and work on their recipes. In the meantime, I will not be back.

This place is an unsung gem among the burgeoning PBG dining scene. The Special Gyro is a MONSTER, so bring your appetite or enjoy 2 meals. The chicken is moist & flavorful & the vegies are most plentiful. The Greek salads are fresh & tasty, great Feta. The Baklava is moist & loaded with walnuts. The staff are friendly, and while I often take out, it's a comfortable, no frills place to eat. The fountain drinks are inconsistent, so order soda in the can. It's an affordable, finger licken' treat I enjoy often.

Some of us went out for lunch and first Greek p[ace was closed, so someone recommend Mr Gyros. So what else would you have, a Gyro. Server was fast, food was good, so we'll be back.

  • Lena H.

I used to love it, but the place is so dirty now, I can no longer eat here. Everything is coated in sticky grime...chairs, tables, trays, condiments...all sticky. I used the salt shaker (held it with a napkin) and the napkin stuck to it in places for good. Old food stains walls and floor, just vile.

  • Melanie N.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was pleased with the atmosphere. Decorating is tastefully done. The location is easy to access. I ordered the Horiatiki Salad and chicken gyro. The salad was very fresh and tasty. The gyro by far was my favorite. The chicken was moist and flavorful. I will be returning as often as I can to enjoy the wonderful Greek food.

I have to say this is probably my favorite greek restaurant to go to. I have become very appreciative of this place after trying some other greek spots that didn't even come close. First off the food is great. I usually get a gyro with lamb/beef that comes with your choice of rice pilaf, fries, or greek salad. The flavor of the meat is one of the best i've had. The pita and taziki sauce is really good. The best part is that the prices are very very reasonable as my plate costs only $8 and its a full meal. They have many other choices and you order without having a waiter. I love the greek guy that takes your order. He is cool and everytime I'm there he is always checking out some girl's butt. It's hilarious and he is always talking about women the entire time I'm there.

Best Greek food in the area. Love it. Huge Gyros, tasty salads, great pitas.

  • Silvia D.

I went here for dinner a few nights ago with my husband and 2 young daughters. When we first walked in, there was nothing really special about the place. It's small with an open kitchen, simple decor. But everything changed once I took my first bite of the lamb gyro I had ordered. Oh My Goodness!!! I have had my share of mediocre gyros but this one was spectacular. And the sauce was sooo good! Wish I had the recipe. If this place wasn't an hour from where I live, I'd be there all the time. You have to give them a try if you're in the area and you feel like have some Greek food.

    (5)
  • S H.

Service was fine for take-out. However, the food was very disappointing. Food tasted stale (meat on combo platter, gyros, falafel), French fries & green beans were soggy. Baklava was watery, soggy and there weren't any walnuts in it. In fact, the two pieces of baklava we got were swimming in water in the container. The food issue was not due to it being take out...we brought it home 5 minutes away and ate immediately. It is a quality issue.

  • Ren D.

Bomb Gyros, PERIOD. They even put french fries in the gyro on request, like they do it in Greece and Turkey. Place is cheap and keeps my tummy full.

This place is right in our neighborhood and like a divinely bestowed epicurean delight, you don't question the why or how, you just chow down. At Mr. Gyros, you order at the counter, often with the owner or his son. You can see all the food prep as it's happening and need not call ahead (at least for dinner) because the food is always prepared pronto. We always order food to go but you can sit down in the simple dining area if you choose to dine in. There are also a few tables and chairs outside if that is your preference. They sell beer, including Mythos which is Greek, (and I'm pretty sure wine too) but like I said, I usually pick up for dinner on my way home from work when I am ravenous so I don't pay too much mind to the drinks. I regularly order the gyro sandwich. It comes with one side and I get the delicious Greek salad if I'm being good or the overflowing french fries if I'm acting with complete disregard for my calorie intake. [Now we have a compromise- we get two lamb and beef gyros- one with fries and one with salad and share the wealth] The sandwich is enormous and big enough to fill the healthiest of appetites. You can select the lamb/beef gyro (not lamb or beef) or the chicken. You can also get the gyro as a platter, I did that once but now i just stick with the sandwich. They have a side of potatoes (if you are trying to be good and stay away from the fries) but they are too lemony, even for me who cries "more lemon/lime please" frequently. They have a few other side options which I haven't tried, including a traditional green been side with tomato. Also delicious are the spanakopita (spinach pie in phylo dough). You can get them a la cart or as a meal with a side or two. I have heard the souvlaki is good, but I can't speak from personal experience on that one. This little gem of a restaurant will be successful as they deliver a good product at a fair price. Go Mr. G!

    (5)
  • K D.

This dine-in/take-out spot has made a turnaround since it first opened. My first visit I thought the food was too salty and I couldn't taste any of my chicken souvlaki and I didn't go back for about 8 months... a few weeks ago I couldn't think of anywhere else to go and decided to give it another try. I got the chicken souvlaki, hummus, and spicy feta to go... the food was ready so quickly and the price point was great, the portions are pretty large so don't worry about being hungry afterwards. I think I got all the food for $17. Definitely a place to go for a quick bite :)

  • victoria r.

I don't know where to start but from entering the restaurant to the last bite it was just a bad experience. The food was bland and just lacked flavor. No wonder they only had one table being occupied by an elderly couple. This place seriously needs to spruce up their menu and recipes.

    (2)
  • Anne A.

WOW...what a change in this place. Used to be the ONLY place to get a Gyro with a smile, but not any more. Portions are smaller, new french fries are horrible, the one or two lousy pieces of tomato are mealy. Two new Greek places have opened in the area and we will be trying them before going back to Mr. Gyro. Pretty disappointing.

  • Ian M.

Friendly staff, prompt service, delicious food and all at a price that won't break the bank. I'm especially fond of their pita & hummus, there's just something about the pita in particular that is incredibly addictive. If you're looking for good Greek food, or a quick meal that won't break the bank -- this place delivers.

The food is amazing, and the service is even better! When I came in for the first time, I was greeted by the owner, who was super friendly and looked like he really enjoyed running the restaurant. My biggest pet peeve is when a business is either run by rude or incompetent staff. The prices were extremely fair a ($8 for a huge gyro and a side of delicious salad or fries), and the food was prepared in seconds! I'll definitely be going back to this place when Im in Palm Beach Gardens!

  • Eric H.

Good gryo place...tons of flavorful lamb and a side salad for 7.99 the day I stopped in on my way to work. Friendly staff and everything is made fresh to order.

Awesome food for reasonable prices! Greek owned! Awesome service. Portions are worth the money. I get the Greek salad with chicken for 12 bucks and I can have 2 meals out of it! Plus they load u up on the chx! I eat here at least once a week since I discovered it. Worth a try!
